GIG ALERT: Brave Timbers, Gareth S Brown, Memory Drawings

an intimate evening of music and film featuring several current Declining Winter folk....

brave timbers

solo project from sarah kemp (lanterns on the lake, fieldhead, last harbour, the declining winter). violin, piano, tenor guitar and other acoustic instruments meet to produce beautifully mournful pastoral music inspired by rachel’s, dirty three, ‘the straight story’ soundtrack.

gareth s brown

beautifully crafted songs and immense compositional skill. think philip glass, terry riley, michael nyman, max richter, yann tiersen and aphex twin. "music for entwined" 10″ due autumn on misplaced music.

memory drawings

one off performance from anglo american collaboration between morocco based dulcimer player joel hanson and members of the declining winter. hammered dulcimer, acoustic guitars and violins combine to produce evocative, drifting pastoral instrumental pieces.

plus films, projections and other incidental music.
